Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!A few days late for a white Christmas, but we were lucky enough to wake to a nice coating of snow this morning. Although I’m not a fan of the cold, I do always enjoy how a covering of snow changes the looking or everything, including these colorful flowerpots on a shelf on the back fence.
We had a little over an inch of snow fall last night, just enough to see footprints in the driveway. And as a measure of how unusual this winter has been, they said on the news this morning that this was our largest snowfall this season! (By this time last year, 17 inches of snow had fallen. This year? 3 inches.)
Like Monday, I was lucky enough to find a subject for today’s photo early in the morning! A dusting of snow last night let us know that winter is still around despite the usually mild weather recently, and what caught my eye was the contrast of the green garden-art chair in June’s garden with the white.
The view across the front yard this evening, showing the first accumulating snow of the season. (Interestingly, the blue hue is from the original photo – i haven’t doctored the color at all.)
Our first dusting of snow for the season.
