This morning we all went along to see the Christmas Pageant make it’s way through the streets of downtown Adelaide. It has been almost 20 years since I last saw the pageant, so once again it was great to experience this again. The floats looked great and of course, seeing Santa was the key highlight for the kids. Our youngest niece excitedly noted that “Father Christmas looked right at me.”In the evening, we went up into the Adelaide Hills to catch up with an aunt and uncle (Tim and Liz) and cousins Alice and Mick. My brothers and their families came along too and it was a rollicking good night. You can always guarantee good belly laughs whenever you visit and the food, beer and wine all went down a treat too. Mick and Tim built a recording studio in the backyard, and so the kids took advantage of the opportunity to lay down some tracks as well as just muck around on the drums, keyboard and bass. (My middle brother joined in on the jam session too.) And since it was my youngest brother’s birthday yesterday and Tim’s tomorrow, the opportunity was taken to have a joint birthday celebration and so both Jason and Tim blew out the candles on the cake.
