Today was a very social day!First, we met a high school friend of mine (Stuart) for lunch in Rundle Mall. (June was a bit worried when Stuart suggested meeting at McDonald’s, but I assured June that we weren’t eating there, just meeting there!) We found a nice Asian place to eat and had a great catch-up with Stuart. We left from there and headed off to see another aunt and uncle, and as it happened, a cousin arrived during the afternoon, so that was a bit of bonus. And then from there we went straight off to see another set of friends (Dave and I worked together at Streets Ice Cream), and immediately marveled at how much Dave and Cath’s kids have grown since we last saw them. And how Dave and Cath hadn’t changed a bit. Once again, it was another convivial evening over food and wine — do you sense a theme? Of course, it would have been great to spend more time with everyone over here, but I think we’ve done pretty well with the time we have.
