Tonight we met good friends Bob and Diane at Coal’s Pizza for a belated celebration of Diane’s birthday. One our last visit there in November of last year, Diane passed out at the table right after our pizzas arrived and we ended up spending the rest of the evening in a hospital emergency room. Fortunately it was nothing serious for Diane, but we have often said since that we need to go back so that we actually taste the pizzas this time. So last night we did just that — and the pizzas (cooked in a coal fired oven, hence the name) were delicious! Best of all, there were no medical emergencies, so the hoodoo is off Coal’s for us, thanks goodness. (Interestingly enough, our waiter said he was there when Diane had her episode last year, and had wondered what the outcome was, so he too was glad to hear that she was fit as a fiddle,) Which brings us to today’s shot. I pointed my camera at the patrons at the bar and used an app called NightCap to take the shot. I didn’t have my glass on at the time, so it looked a little blurry which I liked. When I came to work on the photo later (with my glasses on this time), the photo was much clearer than I originally thought. So I ran it through another app to give it an impressionist painting feel, and that is what you see below.
