As a reward to myself for all the long hours at work, I decided I needed a new toy to play — and it arrived today! It’s a Holga stereo camera for taking 3D images (hence the eye-like placement of the twin lenses.) It’s an odd looking beast, and looks like someone just smooshed two regular Holgas together. The downside is that it works best with slide film, and that is awfully expensive these days, and it will be interesting to see what processing costs run too. So needless to say, I don’t expect to be doing a lot of willy-nilly shooting with this camera, but I am looking forward to seeing how it works. So far the camera and the 3D viewer have arrived — just need the aforementioned film and slide mounts to get here and then I’ll be in business.
