It is the Adelaide Cup long w/end here and the weather is typical Adelaide March weather that you get with the Fringe Festival and Womadelaide music festivals – blue skies and a week forecast at 27 degrees.  It has also served as the impetus for me to upgrade my 10-year-old-electronic-but-still-has-film-Canon SLR (probably has no resale value but is a really nice camera – provided that film is in vogue).  Have therefore lashed out with a Canon 600D DSLR and will be ensuring that I know how to use it today – might have to go for a drive!!<o:p></o:p>From: Posterous [mailto:

  4. Congrats on the new toy! I trust you will be sharing the fruits of your labours. (I still have my trusty 35mm Pentax. Haven’t ran a roll of film through it in years, but I can’t quite part with it either. It was a trusty companion over 17 years and over many, many miles.)
