A wild and woolly day weather-wise today. Large thunderstorms this morning gave way to more severe weather this afternoon. At about 4:15 pm the tornado sirens went off, and so Kristi and I (the only two members of our team in the office) were forced to seek shelter in an interior room until the threat passed. We got the all clear about 30 minutes later, so i turned on the local TV news on my computer when I got back to my desk to get a sense of what was happening. Turns out we dodged a bullet in Louisville, but other locations weren’t as fortunate. A couple of towns were obliterated and the number of fatalities in Kentucky and Indiana climbed to 28 by the end of the day. Mother Nature is clearly not to trifled with.
